Essentially, yes. Of course since M is a member name, it's in a
different name space. It has file scope, but it can only be referred
to immediately following a "." or "->" operator whose LHS is of the
appropriate type. The requirement to precede a member name with
"obj." or "ptr->" is not part of what we refer to as "scope".
