Mmm ... surely a possibility!
I never encripted big stuff, I dunno if it would take long, 
but I'd be a one-time work so not a tragedy.

Do you know a cyphering system free and avail both on Linux 
and Android and Windows ?
I'm sure there are quite plenty, but I did never cypher 
anything actually, so the advices I got in the past simply 
vanished ... I once had installed some "PGP" but it was on 
Mint and I have not reinstalled on Debian. Anyway it should 
be really cross-platform : almost none of my students use 
Linux, most of them Android (on smartphones), some Windows 
(on Desktops).
