Most documents I've ever seen have the contents first and the index last.
No idea why they put the contents last but I rarely put data sheets on paper now.
I can see the contents on the left in Foxit reader and click it as necessary.
Then I can move the document over to my second monitor if I want to refer to it.
Maybe the lowest on resistance I've seen but also the highest input capacitance.
