Man kommt zu diesem Ergebnis, wenn man einen hypothetischen Beobachter einführt, der sich in einem System befindet, das sich sich relativ zur Erde mit der Rotationsgeschwindigkeit der Erde in Richtung Westen bewegt. Dieser Beobachter befindet sich dann in einem Inertialsystem, wobei die Einflüsse aus Sagnac und Gravitation nicht berücksichtigt sind. es
