Ich habe etwa 1984 eine 20mA-Schnittstelle als studentischer Mitarbeiter
bei einer Tochterfirma von IMA Klessmann entwickelt.
Tests zeigten eine Geschwindigkeit von >90000 Bd - da waren einige von der Rolle.

Jedoch haushoch überlegen sind heutzutage Feldbusse.
Beispielsweise CAN-Bus, mit bis zu 1000000 bit/s.
Wir hatten 100 und 125 kbit/s verwendet, für ≥500m Länge.
Bei 1000m Länge sind 62500 bit/s möglich.
