Das muss man nicht inhaltlich belegen.

In der wissenschaftlichen Literatur gilt die Regel, stets (soweit 
verfügbar) die jeweilige Primärquelle zu zitieren. Die WP sammelt nur 
Informationen, die an anderer Stelle bereits publiziert wurden *). Die 
WP stellt also fast ausschließlich Sekundärquellen zur Verfügung und 
verbietet sich allein schon deswegen weitestgehend in wissenschaftlichen 
Kontexten.

*) Etwas provokativ könnte man das auch so kommentieren: ein scheinbares 
"mehr" an Informationen in der WP gegenüber der Primärquelle kann sehr 
einfach durch Falschaussagen erreicht werden :-)
