Your choice if you want to deal with iTunes - which I avoid like the plague.

Further, you can't play a local television station stream the way you 
describe.

CMD-F or Spotlight locates a file pretty much before I've finished 
typing the search...

Mostly I find them just by typing a few letters.  Occasionally I have to 
folder dig.  Occasionally means I don't recall the last time I had to do so.

We seem to be experiencing different Apple universes.  And odd.  You've 
agreed in the past that iTunes is shit.  I guess for other reasons.

Not at all.  I despise iTunes and avoid it as much as possible.  The 
layout and navigation of it could be the basis for abject incompetence 
in human factors engineering.
