No.  He just needed his ISP's help in getting it set right.

The preferences for Mail present very ambiguous entries - it's not at 
all clear where to enter a POP, SMTP or IMAP port number.  Very east to 
get them backward.  And then of course Mail occasionally changes them 
and things break.  Not for you, but for some.
