It will search > messages and show you anything that matches the specified criteria. I still use POP mainly because I'm old, clueless, and too lazy to change my account with my ISP to IMAP. My main device for reading/answering emails is my MacBook Air. So I have Mail set to not delete once read from the server and just copy any emails I want to keep to a folder under the On My Mac list. The downside of the scheme is if I decide to check email on either my phone or iPad, then ALL of the emails are still sitting in my In Box so I end up with a ton of old and new messages on those two devices that I periodically have to delete. Email is not set to push new messages automatically. I suppose the way around that is to have Mail set to delete from server on my MacBook Air so that the messages don't appear on my other devices. If I happen to read a new message on one of those devices, and don't have Delete from Server set, then the message should still appear on the MacBook Air if I don't manually delete it. -- Deja Moo: I've seen this bullshit before.
