Bingo! That's outstanding, and exciting. How would you feel about putting it up on GitHub and seeing if anyone wants to take a stab at it? Or, is there any way I can bribe you to continue your work? Do you like scotch? :) > The old GS/TCP webpage also mentions telnetd as one of the programs > developed for it. > [...] Hmm, it looks like you're right: http://www.geeks.org/~taubert/gstcp/gstcp_apps.html#inetd That said, I've never been able to find a copy of GS/TCP.... > I agree that a telnet server for GNO would be something nice to have. > For one thing, it would be useful in development workflows. I completely agree. I'd love to find a way to re-ignite GNO usage and development in general. IMO it's an astonishing tool, and I've been having a blast rediscovering it recently. (True story: I was a paid customer back when Procyon was selling it commercially. I still have my home-printed, 3-hole-punched copy of the old docs, somewhere.) With the Uthernet II now for sale, multiple mass storage solutions available, and a TWGS clone on the way, it seems like GNO could be more relevant than ever. I wish I had the skills to contribute directly -- one of my goals here is to build those skills -- but I'd happily make a monetary contribution if we could somehow crowdfund further development... --Stephen Hood
