They stumbled into that one. It was supposed to be a heart medication but clinical trials showed no effect on the heart health although the participants had erections. I only take one medication, an ACE inhibitor, and it's a toss up of whether I need it or not. I filled the prescription yesterday and the cost has risen to $16 for a three month supply from about $11 a couple of years ago. At that price and with no side effects that I've noticed, I err on the side of 'what the hell'. The patent expired about 20 years ago.
