The aversion to masks is mostly a USA thing. And perhaps also a political thing, everything is heavily politicized over there. And political means hatred, even to the point of shooting one another. With a president that does what he can to increase hatred and violence, instead of appeasing it. For example in some eastern countries (China?) people wear masks if they have a flu, out of politeness. And were doing this before covid.
