It doesn't have that on Debian, but for some reason they've stuck to net-tools version 1.60. There's also an ifconfig program in GNU inetutils which is interchangable for my usage (inetutils-tools package on Debian), and it doesn't advertise obsolescence so far as I know. Plus there's a bare-bones ifconfig command available in Busybox. I don't expect to be deprived of it any time soon. -- __ __ #_ < |\| |< _#
