absorbing just how you (penix) mix lies with a little truth is probably
the difficulty some readers have in following your blather.
classic (Derbyshire) software errors you have committed in your
"reply -to". work on spotting them.

[snickers]

should any reader care to contradict the statement "i love litz"?
do please weigh in with verbiage equal to your length of service
in usenet quips.
you (penix) make any response too easy with the provision of a litz.
so concise, so...paranoiac, in that your words frame your view and thus
your leap of faith in attracting belief because it is listed...not spewed.
i make a litz of mine own, on embarking, more in view of setting some
very ignorant views you endure, straight. though i doubt so much you will
see the difference.

1. i write all of the following into a browser style news client - in
windows®. the headers will display.

2. i am not "murphy", however i have read reams of his (?) postings which
(in toto) lead me to conclude "murphy" is watching. there are posts being
made away from mainstream news groups which can only be described as
highly covert in their subtlety. some may well fly under my radar but i
have caught a few (and referenced these) in timely order, soon enough
(TZ) to be very sure they are "australian made"...just as K-Man hid his
tracks so it is "murphy" is a valid (bogeyman) fear of yours.
3[a. (2.) has to lead to "well who the fu$k are you?".
easy. i am one of thousands who lost family in what was a totally stupid

more have died since (as they will in usenet) in perpetuation of self
deliverance from guilt.
3[b. the circumstances of 3[a. (for me) forced a change in earthly values

when the next female to entertain my 'strange' ways saw my indebtedness
(accrued through her attentions) as an avenue to "her rest of life".
So it is today I find myself again in my youth, a second year psychology
student owning little more than a very fast motorbike, looking for that
elusive vanishing point at 300km/hr+. meanwhile i extend my studies and
have a little fun in the doing. beat me for that largesse.

in short, I have lived, i know Life. it is too easy in internet forums
to spot horsesh*it when it is seen. the thing is, like you, derbyshire, I
know one cannot put candid beliefs, outside of usenet.

unlike you, i hold to the belief of that freedom not being a licence to lie
to and manipulate well meaning publishers. as much as "murphy" is loud and
confusing i have read your mewings, everywhere, reaching the conclusion
it is you who are madly insane (read ='s angry) with the UPA

you are not "murphy" we (tinw) know that from you obvious incompetence.
your socks however steep you in derbyshire like sh*t.

you ignore the fact that not a single known kook in a/u/kooks has

for your [tor] penix act you are using a windows® product,
"out of the box".
as Steve Crook tried to tell you, it matters not how cunning '
you think you are it is what appears that gives you up.
remailer interfaces may well strip client headers but never will

so. yep. i know your post is not a T-bird post.

you say so in expectation some will prove you to be the
lying ass you are?
no point. you have been posting to rec/arts/* for
years, stirring sh*t. fact.
it is disappointing though that this lie only made "Point 4:"
as r/a/* are currently your favorite groups of troll.
"favorite" as measured against your performances in the lisp
and java forums where informed users roundly burnt your sad
ass, in your "seamus" puppet show. what have you done with
ken wesson? it is noted you have revived JSnarker(g.harriman)
from those groups, dragging that puppet into a/u/kooks, so can
we (tinw) expect "ken" to return?

pointing to your errors, highlighting your stupidity is _sport_,
so where *you* see an obsession - in my remaining mentally
agile - i engage in exercising a pastime which not only helps
others to understand your insanity but gives me huge boosts
in watching you foam as the facts evolve, despite your lame
measures to hide those same facts.

i have a vague recollection of his first ventures into shared

many before the Great Stampede, likely gathered his wit around
this fire;

you think your copy and paste shtick is new? Rats is onto you.

you should have kept your yap shut and just took the spanking
but no, you publicly declared a moratorium. now you
cannot sustain the tale...pity about how red your ass is , eh?

do not insult my intelligence with a pretense at
good manners, dipshit.

post proof your "vacation" is not the silliness so obvious of a
spnak'd tard building his own coffin. you could have the tools
to usurp easily every kookologist on your tail. not using those
"vacation" images as a tool says you are out to troll folk who
will not be trolled. do note how that is working for you.

Still suffering from usenet how-to cluelessness problems, murphy? Rather
ironic that someone who frequently posts insulting others' newsreader
choices and skills at configuring the same turns out to be unable to
properly configure his cowardly XNA so that it is a header line in his
post rather than a body line.

Who is "penix", murphy? There is nobody in this newsgroup using that

your very own blather.

What does your ironic request of Phoenix have to do with Java, murphy?
You're no stranger to verbiage, murphy, though if your posts are trimmed
of everything in them that doesn't make sense, what's left fails to
qualify as verbiage any more and frequently even fails to qualify as
non-empty.

Who is "you (penix)", murphy? There is nobody in this newsgroup using
that alias.

How ironic, coming from a paranoiac whose belief is spewed, not listed.

take anything you say at all seriously, murphy, why don't you seek help?

NaN> 2. i am not "murphy", however i have read reams of his (?)

NaN> (in toto) lead me to conclude "murphy" is watching.

What does your classic unsubstantiated and erroneous claim have to do
with Java, murphy? Did you really think such a transparent lie would
magically undo all that you have done that has rendered the identity of
your "CastAlone" sock unmistakable? Your poor grammar, obsession with
someone you believe in that you name "derbyshire", generally illucid
text structure, tendency towards run-on babbling, tendency to clutter up
many of your posts with abnormally-formatted quotes and URLs, failure to
ever make a normal post to any newsgroup that exists purely to discuss
that newsgroup's topic in a normal manner, and various specific verbal
and punctuational tics identify every one of your socks within one or,
rarely, two posts after you adopt them, murphy.

Who is "K-Man", murphy? There is nobody in this newsgroup using that
alias. Rather ironic, too, coming from someone whose every single usenet
post these days seems to revolve around his own fear of a bogeyman.

NaN> 3[a. (2.) has to lead to "well who the fu$k are you?".

What does your classic unsubstantiated and erroneous claim have to do
with Java, murphy? Rather ironic, too, that someone who once harped at
length about someone else's allegedly-false claim of being a Vietnam
veteran now makes a demonstrably-false claim of being a 9/11 survivor.

What does your classic unsubstantiated and erroneous claim have to do
with Java, murphy? The only "women" you could ever possibly attract are
the ones you hallucinate, murphy. Real women are not attracted to
paranoid schizophrenics, murphy.

NaN> So it is today I find myself again in my youth, a second year
NaN> psychology student owning little more than a very fast motorbike,
NaN> looking for that elusive vanishing point at 300km/hr+.

Classic self-aggrandizing delusional fantasy. You couldn't possibly have
graduated high school solely because of your awful grammar and text
organization skills, murphy; you'd consistently fail every class
requiring essays handed in for marks. On top of that is the fact that
you're a raving lunatic.

NaN> meanwhile i extend my studies and have a little fun in the doing.

Liar.

NaN> beat me for that largesse.

Liar.

NaN> in short, I have lived, i know Life.

Classic contradiction. You just said you were a second year psychology
student. Your delusions aren't even stable from one minute to the next,
and you don't even notice this while you're writing your long, rambling,
illucid news posts, and yet you expect to be taken seriously by anyone?

NaN> it is too easy in internet forums to spot horsesh*it when it is

Ironically, you don't seem to spot that your own posts are horseshit in
time to stop yourself from clicking "send".

NaN> the thing is, like you, derbyshire, I know one cannot put candid

Who is "derbyshire", murphy? There is nobody in this newsgroup using
that alias.

NaN> unlike you, i hold to the belief of that freedom not being a
NaN> licence to lie to and manipulate well meaning publishers.

What does your classic unsubstantiated and erroneous claim have to do
with Java, murphy? You lie constantly, murphy, as you did just now when
you claimed to have graduated high school despite clearly lacking the
capacity to write a coherent essay on any topic, and you do it to
manipulate, in your never-ending and futile crusade to scrub everyone
that your paranoia makes you believe is "derbyshire" from the face of
the internet.

Ironically, your own mewings are not only loud and confusing, as you
yourself just admitted, but also well removed from reality.

NaN> you are a danger to yourself.

Another unsubstantiated claim.

NaN> I truly believe a sad end as being your future.

What does your death threat to Phoenix have to do with Java, murphy?

NaN> lies and truth mixed, your forte.

What does your classic unsubstantiated and erroneous claim have to do
with Java, murphy? Rather ironic, too, coming from someone who just lied
at least twice.

NaN> you are not "murphy" we (tinw) know that from you obvious
NaN> incompetence.

Classic illogic. Obvious incompetence is one of the signs that someone
*is* possibly murphy, murphy.

NaN> your socks however steep you in derbyshire like sh*t.

Who is "derbyshire", murphy? There is nobody in this newsgroup using
that alias.

I must wonder what happened to you to cause this much hate in you.
Obviously somebody hurt you very badly, and now you fixate in turn on
everyone online who reminds you of that person and turn into a raving
lunatic crusading to remove him from usenet, and when you fail you erupt
in a towering rage. Seek help!

NaN> yeh, i am cleopatra about to turn the asp on your ass.

What do your classic unsubstantiated and erroneous claim and your death
threat have to do with Java, murphy? Phoenix might be well advised to
report your post to his local area police, murphy; you are just unhinged
enough that it's believable you might actually try to track him down and
physically assault him with venomous reptiles.

NaN> you ignore the fact that not a single known kook in a/u/kooks has
NaN> joined with your charade.

Kooks don't generally side with the FNVW, murphy. Still suffering from
terminal usenet cluelessness, murphy?

NaN> you think to ask yourself why that is?

What does your question of Phoenix have to do with Java, murphy?

NaN> kooks greet disturbance with glee.

Some greet glee with disturbance, murphy, particularly you.

Who is "[tor] penix", murphy? There is nobody in this newsgroup using

Classic ambiguity.

Who is "seamus", murphy? There is nobody in this newsgroup using that alias.

How very, very ironic.

That's three threats of violence you've directed at Phoenix now. Seek help!

NaN> you think your copy and paste shtick is new?

What does your classic erroneous presupposition of a question of Phoenix
have to do with Java, murphy? Rather ironic, too, coming from someone
whose posts frequently consist largely of copied and pasted chunks of
random other irrelevant usenet articles from random groups.

NaN> Rats is onto you.

Who is "Rats", murphy? There is nobody in this newsgroup using that alias.

NaN> read this, dweeb.

Who is "dweeb", murphy? There is nobody in this newsgroup using that alias.

What do your URLs have to do with Java, murphy?

NaN> yet your public declaration of vacation is?

What does your question of Phoenix have to do with Java, murphy? Phoenix
can share exactly as much or as little about his vacation as he wishes
to, murphy. It's still a free country for now, and, for now, it's still
a free internet too.

NaN> you should have kept your yap shut and just took the spanking
NaN> but no, you publicly declared a moratorium.

What does your classic unsubstantiated and erroneous claim have to do
with Java, murphy? These are all unmoderated newsgroups, murphy. You do
not have the authority to command other people to shut up. Especially
other people that are contributing more on topic traffic and far, far
less off topic traffic to many groups than you are. Indeed, you are the
last person who should be telling *any* usenetter, other than a
shoe-peddling spammer, to shut up, murphy, given that you post *nothing*
to *any* group whose purpose is purely to discuss that group's topic
normally. *Every single one* of *your* posts is an attempt to push your
peculiar delusional beliefs upon others, or, at the very least, is a
mass of incoherent and illucid text not worth anyone's time to read. So
if anybody on unmoderated usenet should have to shut up other than the
outright spammers, murphy, you're the very first of them, since you
*contribute* absolutely nothing to any groups at all even while
*posting* a great deal. Including nearly 200 lines of useless ranting
screed in this latest "magnum opus" of yours, murphy.

NaN> now you cannot sustain the tale...pity about how red your ass
NaN> is , eh?

What does your projection have to do with Java, murphy?

NaN> > Now do please//slap

Phoenix didn't write that, murphy, yet you attributed it to him anyway.
Classic dishonesty on your part, murphy.

NaN> do not insult my intelligence with a pretense at
NaN> good manners, dipshit.

Who is "dipshit", murphy? There is nobody in this newsgroup using that
alias. Rather ironic, too, coming from someone whose "manners", such as
they are, appear to be the precise polar opposite of Emily Post.

NaN> post proof your "vacation" is not the silliness so obvious of a
NaN> spnak'd tard building his own coffin.

Non sequitur.

NaN> you could have the tools to usurp easily every kookologist on
NaN> your tail.

What does your classic erroneous presupposition have to do with Java,
murphy? The only tail you're on is your own, which you continue to chase
in circles, murphy.

NaN> not using those "vacation" images as a tool says you are out
NaN> to troll folk who will not be trolled.

How ironic, coming from someone who has been very strenuously out to
troll folk in rec.arts.tv who apparently will not be trolled, given how
your various "Hydra"-something socks get almost no responses at all
beyond my own deconstructions of them.

NaN> do note how that is working for you.

How ironic.

I don't see anything in your post with any apparent relationship to
Java, murphy.

"violating one basic rule in continually posting to or creating "off
topic" messages is a violation of group's charters."

How ironic.

"I had 'volunteered (years back) to support those who do endeavor

And that was actually the most lucid thing Murky said, *and* it was
actually neither a lie nor accidentally factually incorrect!

Actually it was the *only* lucid thing Murky said and the *only* thing
that was factually correct.

But it did, indeed, have nothing to do with Java, as well as poor
capitalization and grammar. This is Morphy at his best, folks --
moderately lucid and writing at approximately a fourth-grade level of
skill. It's all downhill from here!

My Ghodz, is a whole damn *pantheon* of bogeymen developing somewhere in
the burbling depths of Morphy's febrile brain? I'm trying to form a
picture in my mind to better get a grasp on how this particularly
spectacularly kooky kook thinks. I see a James Bond supervillain
stereotype guy with a British accent and a goatee with horns and a
pitchfork, and at his right hand a great and terrible demon with a
Scottish accent that breathes fire, and now another, lesser demon at the
devil's left hand. All of them flinging little bits of fiery brimstoney
stuff that keep hitting Murky's ass with unerring accuracy and blistering
it.

<snicker>

And to think this is what murphy sees when he sees ordinary people trying
to go about their ordinary business. He probably considers his own sudden
eruptions of off-topic garbage in various groups to be "preemptive
strikes" or even retaliatory ones.

Of course, the idea that the "devil" in his mythology is some harmless
mathematician that had a website a decade ago that hasn't been updated in
years, the devil's right hand demon is a polite old gent that got flamed
off usenet for daring to expect to be treated civilly, and ... well, I
don't know who the other one might have been ... and probably none of the
three real-world prototypes for murphy's demons ever even met or knew one
another ... and two out of the three may not even be aware that murphy
exists ... that alternately seems sad and cracks me up.

*GOOD MANNERS*? You have the gall to lecture *anyone* else on *GOOD

kook, Murky! Fuck the Republican party. The Kook of the Year 2012 is

And one last parting SPNAK!

Murky is one hell of a glutton for punishment. After last night's ass
blistering it's shocking he came back for more, but now that he's got it
I expect him to be back again tomorrow night, same Bat-time, same Bat-
channel, for a third dose this size.

Masochism must be another of his kooky traits.

And on the wrong topic for the newsgroup.

Downhill all the way to the fourteen or so ko0k awards that await him at
the bottom of the slope, and into which he'll land messily after
flubbing the final approach to the little upticked ski-jump ramp.

Most likely. Kook delusions tend to grow in elaboration until eventually
they consume all available processing power and the kook forgets how to
breathe or something like that and his cursed existence thus comes to an
end. Or at least until the kook gets his ass thrown in jail or shot for
being too much of a pest somewhere.

You see guys on the streets now and again that just accost someone
suddenly and start screaming in their face about the moon men from
Neptune and their pet invisible spiders, or the FBI's greenish-blue
helicopters that pour mind control fluoride into drinking-water
reservoirs and canned pet food, or something of the sort, before the cop
on the street corner tases some ko0ok ass and carts it off to the drunk
tank and/or a psych eval.

Murphy appears to be a direct port of that particular brand of kO0K to
usenet.

Anyone noticing a British Isles theme to this kook's testy twitterings?
A Brit devil, a Scot right-hand demon, and "Wesson" is also a Brit
surname if I'm not terribly mistaken.

Maybe he had a vacation there that went horribly wrong?

Un-be-FREAKING-lievable. He really said that?! *checks a few posts up
from this one in the thread*

He really said that.

A wall-banger, that one.

Flatline on the EEG! Crash cart to Murky's (hehe) room, stat!

Don't forget his penchant for multiposting. That requires either copy
and paste or the ko0ky dedication to actually rewrite, from scratch,
many identical copies of a post. He was frothing in afn this morning
with a new sock, posting some even more kooky and illucid stuff than
usual, full of kooky links and some poor hapless person's email address
that's now doomed to smother slowly in spam. Thoolen pounced on it about
two hours ago and within minutes murphy had posted a "followup" (in the
strictly technical sense; what little he quoted or referenced of the
parent post, he deliberately MISquoted) that consisted mostly of
cut-and-paste excerpts from the previous murphy post.

With a side order of irony, given murphy's own repeated losses of usenet
accounts and consequent candidacy for a Kenny McCormick.

Hmm. "Morphy". Hehe.

Morphy's got my vote. ;)

And am I confused or did he post this bit of "dipshit" namecalling AFTER
he did the "banana" thing and ranted about someone else's use of cusswords?

Oh, is *that* what it's supposed to be? A "bouquet of ass paddles", so
to speak?

Heh.

Meanwhile, Morphy's failed to get a single peep out of any of the
comp.lang.java.programmer regulars with his gratuitous crossposts there
in this bit of thread, too. I just checked. They're extremely inured to
trolls there since a certain 8000-post flamewar erupted in the mid-2000s
that started when someone said they used vi to program and an emacs user
responded with a sales pitch, or something along those lines. By the
time the dust settled, the only survivors were those that were highly
unflappable when faced with posts with obviously irrelevant subject matter.

Morphy ought to have known better than to try, in other words, since
Morphy's well aware of those events to judge by the fact that he's
occasionally burbled out a link to that thread at Google Groups.

I won't take that bet. You're too likely to be right.

I actually don't think so. I think the kook either thinks he's actually
winning, or that it's a grim and often painful, but necessary, duty he
must perform in order to *save the w0rld!!!!1!one*.

Just like the guy still grabbing commuters and ranting about
greenish-blue helicopters at the 5th and Fairview subway entrance after
his fourth tasing that month.

Of course. Morphy and reading newsgroup charters for comprehension parted

Mugging and ass-rape? Gouged for 15% when converting currency? Rained

I was a witness to those events. Though only a lurker. (You may have
noticed an allusion to Java in an earlier post of mine, I think in this
thread. I've had occasion to have to use that "language" for programming;
fortunately, these days we can get all the benefits of a JVM with a

Anyway, regarding that incendiary thread, one thing especially sticks out

Aww, damn!

Though so far we may both end up wrong. It looks like he came back for a
dose only half the size, to judge by the third Morphy screed in the
series, which has now appeared, being only half the size.

Right on the money -- murphy's been babbling like a brook, AND Hall, AND
all of Hall's remaining g00s are suddenly much more active, and the lot
of 'em buried afn and auk in a metric *ton* of foam last night. You sure

Not original, alas. The special effects whiz on the commentary track on
the DVD referred to the Smith fully automatic assault punch FX as the
"bouquet of fists".

I actually don't think so. The kooky Elbereth-analog word got dropped a
few times but I don't think the kook doing it was Morphy. Obviously,
Morphy's influence had spread beyond afn already by that time. I think
it's some kind of kooky meme that's been bubbling and simmering in the
seamier parts of usenet for a while, for some reason. It might not even
have started with Morphy; Morphy may simply be someone whose paranoid
ideations fixated on the meme's content, turning him into Typhoid Morphy
when it comes to further spreading the meme.

There's now another sub-200-line screed from him, with the FNVW
responding via sock to get around Morphy's cowardly plonk the night
before last. But it's an improvement -- it's more than 100 lines this time.

*snicker*

There is something odd though that I realized after reading a few dozen
of Morphy's kookfarts from last night: where's thoolen?

I've just dropped DA BOMB on Morphy's brainless ass. I think we're in for

I want to see how he tries to weasel out of my very thorough outing of

Ah. Interesting. I have a DVD but never bothered with the commentary
track. I'll have to remember to check it out, if you found it interesting.

Well, one way to put it is that writing a compilable "Hello, World"
program in it immediately puts you in contention for a Unabomber Surprise
award here.

It's the ultimate ko0k language, in fact -- long on foam and short on
substance, and makes everyone that uses it that way too if they aren't
careful. For every line of code doing anything useful there's another ten
of boilerplate of various kinds. If ever there was a language crying out
for a Lisp-like macro abstraction it was Java.

And an even bigger meltdown *last* night. What did you do to get Account
Banned into such a lather? He'd been dropping a few Elbereth-laced
kookfarts a day for a while, but suddenly, last night, some sort of
busted containment vessel? And the steam explosion sprayed froth into a
whole bunch of other newsgroups too!

I see a fair number of Morphy screeds new since yesterday afternoon --
and thoolen dismantling them all systematically along with lots of older
stuff. I don't see any really giant Morphy screeds though, maybe a
couple of hundred-liners.

I saw. So far he's being quite the coward, snipping and ignoring
inconvenient truths that are pointed out in yours and Phoenix's replies
to him. And plonking, too! I've *never* seen the twit do *that* before.

Ouch. I don't suppose the opposite extreme also occurs -- concise but

Oh, don't worry. I've run into *that* site before. Bookmarked for
sometime around Christmas, or maybe Doomsday, or whenever I get the time.

I honestly don't know. I didn't aim anything particularly pointy at him.
I think he's very protective of Ferd, or possibly even that twat Morphy.

Believe me, I noticed.

Still nothing bigger as of this hour, though he's dropped a couple more
little nuggests of "wisdom" into auk since you were apparently last
active.

A lot of those are just him gibbering madly at someone else on some topic
that can't be identified as his usual obsession. Maybe that's becoming a
bit painful for him now?

It's remarkable. I think the twit's really feeling on the defensive,
perhaps for the first time in history.

But of course! That one's called perl. ;)

And given Morphy another ass-paddling too, the same screeder I lit a
cherry bomb under last night. Thoolen definitely believes in thoroughness
-- that it's already been blown away doesn't matter to him, he has to
dissect it piece by piece and declare it all to be wrong, delusional,
ironic, and etc. :)

Whew! Thought I might've lost you there for a minute. :)

On the other hand, maybe one of the kooks around here'll trip over that
link like a land mine and be out of the action for a week or so. That'd
be convenient.

Update: he's dropped a nearly-190-line clinker and a couple of other mid-
size screeds now tonight.

Maybe he's Morphy's father. I can't imagine anyone else feeling
protective of *that* jerk than a family member.

Less activity last night from *all* of them. Their behavior is clearly
coordinated. (Or they're all sockp....nah, that's their insane delusion.
Best not to fall into that trap.)

Didn't you see the nearly 200-liner he dumped into rec.arts.tv? It
wasn't crossposted here so I guess maybe not.

Hrm. Checking rec.arts.tv now and I see you not only saw it but
responded to it, but not until later than you wrote the post I'm
reading. Indeed, Morphy's screed was posted later (9:33) than your post
here (9:11).

Thoolen also responded, about an hour ago, with some choice words about
Morphy's violent thoughts. :)

Nah, he's still spewing steadily about that too.

Perhaps. Time will tell -- as Morphy himself was kind enough to point out.

Wow, even the name is pointlessly abbreviated to be missing one vowel.
Does it date back to when machines had a few KB of core and even one
byte of extra computer code could be a storage problem?

He's relentless. To Morphy he must be like the Terminator come to get
him. Here's a Morphy gem from last night:

thus all your gyro spin-outs are deleted, no bodies retrieved.
that practise denies your BS cluttering up hits on grep search for posts.

"gyro" here appears to refer to thoolen's Gyromitra nym of last night
(another mushroom species, natch). So Morphy is basically admitting to
the cowardly snip of dozens of entire news articles in one go, here, in
preference to facing the Thoolenator in combat.

And no doubt you intended that to be one of the possible consequences
all along. Fortunate that thoolen's disappearance for a day didn't turn
out to be your link-mine claiming a friendly fire casualty.

Or albasani closed the door in their faces in mid-meltdown ... except
that I think I've seen albasani posts that were made later.

Of course not. Not that that would have been an excuse even so. The old
Commodore VIC-20 had a BASIC interpreter and that language had full,
readable keywords like PRINT rather than abbreviated garbage like, say,
PRN. Commodore employed a clever trick: BASIC programs were stored (on
disk and in memory) *compressed*, with all of the common keywords
replaced with graphics characters with the high bit set. So, they were
abbreviated when the program was stored and manipulated *under the hood*,
but the source code the user worked with was nice and readable.

If they could figure out how to have their cake and eat it too in that
manner 30 years or so ago for a *toy computer*, they sure as hell could
have for all the tiny computers used for *real business*, nevermind for
modern machines with generous memory and disk space.

Thoolen's such a Determinator, he'd have plowed through the entire site
in mere hours and been back even if he did step on it, which he therefore
very well might have.

Uh-oh, I think I just did it again. Argh ...

Actually, I'm not sure about that. Janithor posts via albasani and is
usually active by now but I'm not seeing anything by him since 3 in the
morning.

Maybe albasani did fall over.

There's been a few forgeries since then via E-S by some twit, but maybe
without albasani they feel less secure in continuing that particular
harassment campaign against the new management.

No such luck, hm? I'm sure by now you've seen the forgery of you posted
through albasani a couple hours ago.

Don't have much choice. AIOE doesn't like posts with too high a ratio of
quoted lines to original. :P

Oh, without a doubt!

As a matter of fact I saw at least two and responded to one, I guess the
one you didn't see.

Ew. Why not find another server? Or three?

Why, thank you.

Pain in the ass to sign up for another one. If AIOE suddenly one day is
annoying enough, then I will. As for "or three", setting up some sort of
thingy to combine more than one news server into a single view of the
froups sounds like work, and reading everything in triplicate sounds
like work. I also have *no* idea if I could get something like that
working on my pad, as opposed to on a normal computer, particularly
without jailbreaking it, the mere thought of which gives me the
heebie-jeebies. I've heard horror stories about Apple updates crippling
jailbroken devices that receive them. And I can't very well disconnect
it from the 'net and still use it to post news...

Damn you! Between your tropes and kensi's explanations of the cosmos,
I'll never get to sleep! My brain is full... my brain is full!!!

Oh, I especially like the 'Broke Your Arm Punching Out Cthulhu'
trope... that describes the staukers' fight against us so well.

http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/BrokeYourArmPunchingOutCthulhu
"This trope is called upon as a way of showing the true futility of
trying to stop the physical or literal manifestation of an
all-powerful being. It really doesn't matter if you have powerful
mythical weapons or giant galaxy destroying guns; the physical form of
him is irrelevant to his powers to utterly smack you aside with merely
a nod."
