Remember the professors who claimed a device heavier than air couldn't
fly? Your reasoning is trumped by the claim of a respectable person
(i.c. Chuck Moore) to the contrary. Do you even realise that between
clock cycles the io pin can be switched from upgoing triggers to
downgoing triggers?

This is useful information. I'm not sure whether it is such a big
problem to have a clock if need be, but synchronous operation is much
easier.

W.r.t. the size of memory. It is one of the things that holds the
GA144 down. The less of these things there are the more applications
are possible.
