I broke your lines for you. Anyone who knows anything whatsoever about usenet knows that he must limit the length of his lines. Bernd proves what I have been saying all along. Forth is a stone-age toy, any extremely low-level and primitive language that is appropriate only for an embedded controller that flushes a toilet. Solving any problem in Forth takes much longer than solving the problem in a good high-level language such as Ruby. Forth is a great time-waster, a great means of reducing programmer-productivity. Forth vendors like to keep it as primitive as possible because they are clueless about implementing a modern, high-level language. By making their jobs as easy as possible, they make the jobs of Forth programmers as hard as possible.
