There is (at least) one disadvantage to Wil's method.  It hardcodes the
constants into a definition.  If the constant's values are changed, then
they won't change in any definition where they were compiled.  Of course, I
would argue that constants shouldn't be changed.  Alternately, some might
consider Wil's definition to be an advantage since it doesn't use the
constant and related DOES> code .
