Big brand PCs used to be over twice the cost of custom built PCs and were 
mainly used in business.  Then the price came down and now they are 
affordable and easily bought from stores like Harvey Norman.

You would be mad to run a PC Shop now.

You might be able to save a one to hundred dollars by buying all the parts 
and putting it together yourself, but why would you bother when you don't do 
that for a living and might stuff something up?

I would much prefer taking a computer back to Harvey Norman than to the 
local PC shop which might be out of business in 3-6 months.
