People use tablets when in the lounge in front of the TV or maybe at the 
kitchen or dining table.  They use them for simple web tasks such as looking 
up websites for information, booking flights and hotels, internet banking. 
I don't believe people are writing many emails on tablets.  You also cannot 
do word processing on a tablet.  It is not going to replace the PC for that, 
so students will still need a PC, and of course businesses will still use 
PCs.  But there is a chunk of the market lost to tablets.

PC shops have been closing down for a long time.  When the prices of brand 
name PCs like HP, Dell and Acer came down the PC shops all starting 
closing - about 10 years ago.  It is now not cost effective to buy a custom 
built PC.  The prices are virtually the same now and you don't get the QA 
checks and no reliable warranty from a big company.
