Yeah, its all spelt out on the About page. I just meant that
that should be a lot more clearly spelt out on the home page,
at least one graphic that shows you who qualifys for one etc.

Yeah, had once since I qualified. Haven't used it a hell of a lot,
mainly for the 5% discount you get for spending more than
$30 at IGA on Thursday, used to be Tuesday and Thursday.

Save the kids quite a bit on the most
recent train trip coming back from sydney.

I normally fly and it doesn't help with that.

Haven't gotten around to getting off my arse and
getting the health care card which would save me
a hell of a lot more, free car rego, free drivers license,
much cheaper scripts, saving on power and rates etc.

Just can't be bothered to do the paperwork.

Stupid, that would save me about $1K a year.

Yeah, didn't even think of that at all.

The PowerHouse Museum was very disappointing,
I kept thinking that all their static displays weren't
a patch on a well done doco on the subject etc.

I don't actually bother with lunch, got out of the
habit 40 years ago now. Ate an apple I had in
the bag waiting for the phone to charge at TAFE.
and then had the pub beer and steak for $12 at
the haymarket pub in the evening.

Yeah, I was in St Vincents for a coupla
weeks on the town side, closest bed to
the windows. Very impressive views.

Sure, but automatic topups don't require me to do anything at
all and work fine even if the phone dies or gets left behind etc.

Yeah, usual union bludgers most of them.

I later saw the sign saying that you weren't allowed to
close the curtains in the day sitter/sleeper during the day.
I didn't notice that one of the monkeys did perve in one
time but didn't say anything about that. I couldn't sleep
anyway, I just don't go to sleep much in those situations,
which is very handy when driving but not great when
someone else is driving the train etc.

Didn't even think to look for that one.

I did look up the Apple one and then forgot about it.

Never actually used ours. They don't have hordes of backpackers
showing up to use ours and we get lots of those as pickers. Maybe
there is some similar limit here. We don't have any net cafés here.

One female monkeys I asked about checkin etc said that
the XPT to Melburg which is the one I use would leave
from there or 4. Turned out to leave from 3 which explains
why it isn't listed on the ticket even if the seat is. Presumably
they change platforms around depending on what trains
break or are running late etc.

None of those qualify, the closest you can get is Goulburn.

Another reason to get off my arse and do the paperwork
for the centerlink card, they don't have that restriction at all.

Yeah, didn't have any real problem with the battery
except when running google maps in turn by turn mode.

Haven't had a chance to check if that was because we looking
at the time to get there all the time when running late and if
that wouldn't be a problem with the screen blanked or not.

That is one real downside with iphones and the latest Galaxys too.

Easily fixed with a power pack tho.

I can run it well down in a garage sale run
and when running google maps for hours.

Yeah, complete pain in the arse.

I've even had some of the kids working in BigW etc
that know me ask me to answer a customer's question.

> Car salesmen computer everyone
> Good to be flameproof and can't be fired!

Yeah. Tho the induction turned up that the person he is
replacing couldn't be bothered doing the govt paperwork
and had monstered the manager into doing that for him
and the new manager sacked him for that. But got him
to spell out to his replacement how to do the paperwork.

Going to be interesting to see how that pans out.

These are job seekers who get individual 'skills'
improvement plans and the 'trainers' end up
with a room full of those, all with quite different
improvement plans and have to work out how
to teach all those who have quite different plans.

Unsurprisingly the turnover rate is pretty dramatic.

Yeah, tho it wasn't too bad when we zoomed down it.
But that was after 07:00, it would presumably be much
worse later. There was quite a bit of the time with no
real progress much further out. Forget exactly where,
I was just doing what I was told by the GPS.

They have found a granny flat just around the corner from
the relos they are currently staying with. Lots of people
looking at it apparently. Be interesting to see if they get it.

Not my idea of an ideal location, Ryde to Parramatta
twice daily isn't my idea of a great commute.

Better than the worst dregs of Parramatta to live in tho.

The granny flat is just a shade under $400 and
quite decent apparently. Certainly explains lots
of people looking at it. Don't like their chances.

Dunno, it looks rather like the govt paperwork is a
complete pain in the arse. Even one of the partners
is happy to admit its about the govt paperwork
much more than any real teaching.

These appear to be all adult job seekers
with fuck all in the way of much english
tho he hasn't seen any of them yet, just
the other staff and managers.

Yeah, doesn't look great in that respect, at
least twice the rent they would be paying here.
But fuck all in the way of job prospects here.

His wife is getting qualified as an accountant so once
that happens it would would quite well back here.
He does teach some back in china online as well
so he can stay home and herd the midget and she
can be the main income earner and he can do the
online teaching too. That mostly happens in the
late evening when the midget is long gone to bed.

They plan to buy back here.

Yeah, property prices are mad.

Another mate of mine has just sold a very decent place
across the street from me for in the high $200Ks to move
to Canberra where one of their kids and grandkids are now.

Turns out he turns 14 in a couple of weeks
and has done it by himself before already.

Not exactly the typical teenager.

Easy enough to do tho, there is a direct train
on the Saturday he is going, no train/bus swap
in Cootamundra or Wagga as there is for all
except the Saturday run. Even the bus train
swap is no biggy, the busses line up outside
the train station at least in Coota and all you
have to do is get on the right one. And the
driver checks you off so if you fuck that up its
only a problem if you don't get on the right
one until after it has left.
