I'm just stating what I assumed - I didn't actually put much thought
into that assumption at the time I made it. I was paying more attention
to what Anton was saying than to what you were saying. I had assumed
from his comment that you were taking dynamically allocate memory that
had been filled in from an external by means that did not give any of
that memory an effective type (such as a call to fread()), in which case
there would be aliasing prolems. However, if, for instance, all calls to
da_len() are always preceded by calls to da_setlen() using the same
memory, then there shouldn't be any aliasing problems.
