You say, "but it is available..." while SciTE is available under all 
those OS.

"Create an entry"?  What does that mean?  There is a Forth syntax parser 
for SciTE.  I'm using it.  By default it doesn't show in the menu, so 
you need to edit the global properties file to stop it from being 
suppressed.  It doesn't seem to highlight all the Forth standard words, 
but there is something wrong still I think.  I have a Forth.properties 
file which clearly contains all that stuff including separate lists for 
flow control, defining, string and to other types of words (prewords1 
and prewords2).  This file is clearly not currently active in SciTE on 
my machine.

I think I've mentioned, using a mono-spaced font is available from a 
menu, but not automatically.  It has to be applied to each file opened. 
There has to be a way to fix that.  In fact it currently doesn't 
recognize any Forth file types other than '.forth'.  So I manually have 
to select the language for all the files on my machine.
