What are we talking about here? Dynamic memory allocation? And which 
program have you done it in? I'm happy to help out if I can, but I can't 
go clicking around random threads in the hope of picking out the precise 
article you're talking about.

If you're asking about how to read a complete line from a stream without 
knowing in advance how long it is, then I can show you how to do that. 
Is that what you want to know?
