Since we have been using the word "compiler" it's a reasonable objection. Nevertheless, if we take the linker out of the equation, *no* compiler is conforming, because to leave out the linker necessarily means leaving out TP8! And if we put the linker back into the equation, gcc fails to conform even when told to by -std=c??, unless the additional magic rune -lm is added, just as James explained to you already. > And I always thought gcc was -pedantic.
