Simplest thing to do in this case (if you can be sure that
each line contains 6 nmbers and you don't have empty lines)
would be something like
FILE *fp = fopen("my_numbers.txt", "r");
int a, b, c, d, e, f;
while (fscanf(fp, "%d%d%d%d%d%d", &a, &b, &c, &d, &e, &f) == 6) {
/* do tests here */
}
fclose(fp);
If you've got to be more cautions about the sanity of the
file's content things get more interesting. And if it's the
"best" way is quite another question, since it would depend
on whay you define as "best";-)
