And yet you post with hard line breaks (and lines that are only slightly
too long).
Regardless of which approach is better, the fact is that most of us use
newsreaders that assume hard line breaks. If I see an article with very
long lines, my newsreader does have a command that lets me reformat it,
but it will also reformat any source code without regard to its
semantics.
Don't punish your readers for the (in)actions of newsreader authors.
