Doch er war nicht robust genug, um den Alltag hier auszuhalten und ist dann eines Tages auch verstorben. Canon baut Geraete mit arg hoelzerner Software (das scheinen die echt nicht zu koennen), aber die sind beinahe gusseisern robust. Das hoert man bereits an den Geraeuschen, kein Knetern, sondern sonores Klacken und es geht nix kaputt. Wenn man sowas braucht, hat man keine Wahl. Ich eh nicht, da viele Spezialgeraete von Kunden getestet werden muessen und das geht nur mit Windows. Nun gibt es inzwischen Software wie die neue fuer meinen Spectrum Analyzer, die nur mit Windows 7 laeuft, nicht mit aelteren Versionen oder Linux. Das ist natuerlich Mist und muss ich im Labor die alte Software benutzen, fuer EMC Jobs dann einen Monitor des Buerorechners so drehen, dass ich ihn sehen kann (notfalls einen Badezimmerspiegel abhaengen ...). Doch angesichts dessen, dass ich mich langsam Richtung Ruhestand bewegen moechte, sehe ich das gelassen. -- Gruesse, Joerg http://www.analogconsultants.com/
