In der Kneipe reicht der Wirt das Tablet nach dem letzten Schluck rueber, man unterschreibt mit dem Finger, klickt den gewuenschten Trinkgeldbetrag an und zieht von dannen. Selbst beim Fahrradhaendler, wo ich ein Mountain Bike vierstelliger Preisklasse kaufte, habe ich ueber so ein Tablet bezahlt. Der hat gar keine Registrierkasse. Mit dem Dinge macht er nebenbei vieles andere. Musikberieselung ueber Bluetooth-Verbindung, Nachbestellungen beim Grosshaendler, Fotos fuer Garantiefaelle anfertigen, Lunch zu Abholen beim Chinesen bestellen, Emails schreiben, und so weiter. Im Restaurant hat die Bedienung keinen Zettelblock und Kugelschreiber, sondern klickt zweimal Lasagne, einmal Pasta Alfredo, zweimal Chianti Classico und ein Peroni auf dem Tablet an, worauf das alles sofort per Funk zur Kueche und zur Bar geht. Dieser grosse Markt wird von Linux komplett verpasst. Auch manchmal der Support fuer Konsumenten, wenn sie wissen wollen, wo ein bestimmtes exotisches Produkt im Laden zu finden ist oder wie lange es dauern wuerde, das zu besorgen.
