Loesungen erarbeite ich dabei selten allein, sondern im Team. Manchmal muss ich mich dazu "fachfremd" weiterbilden, etwa Flugzeugtechnik, aber dank Open Learning und so ist das einfach. Beweise kann ich wegen NDA kaum liefern, aber es gab genuegend. Etwa der Versuch, Median Filtering aus dem Radar im medizinischen Ultraschall zu verwenden. Die Leute haben anfangs aehnlich reagiert wie Du hier. Ich sei Analogmensch und kein Filterexperte (bin ich auch wirklich nicht), und ueberhaupt, es haetten schon viele Bildverarbeitungsspezialisten herausgefunden, dass der Status Quo das Optimum sei. Mehr ginge einfach nicht. Ich gab aber nicht auf, bis es schliesslich probiert wurde. Da fielen einige Kinnladen. Dann wurde uns als Team mal gesagt, dass ein Schallkopf, der nicht mehr als 1.5mm Durchmesser haben darf, nunmal nur mechanisch rotierend machbar sei. Diese Schnapsidee, 32 Einzelelemente mitsamt Elektronik in einen Raum wie ein Streichholzkopf zu pferchen, sei hirnrissig. Es sei unmoeglich. Und solche Hirngespinste wie Doppler sollten wir mal gleich vergessen. Das Ergebnis hatte ich in dieser NG als Link gebracht. Wir haben die Messlatte alsbald auf 64 Elemente erhoeht, das durchgezogen und danach viele hundertausend Einheiten gefertigt. Wir waren nur eine kleine Firma, damals weniger als 200 Leute. Fast alle Produktionsanlagen mussten selbstgebaut werden, weil uns die einschlaegigen Halbleiteranlagenfertiger sagten, Maschinen mit der geforderten Praezision seien nicht machbar. Pffft, wollten wir aber mal sehen, und haben alles gebaut. Hier sei ein Lob auf die Firma Zygo angebracht (spaeter IBM), die sagten, sie wuerden es mit uns zusammen probieren. Es gibt also noch wagemutige Leute, wobei wir den Deckel vorzahlten. Als wir etwa 300 Leute waren, schmiss ein grosser Konkurrent das Handtuch. Der Konkurrent war immerhin die Firma Hewlett-Packard. Wir hatten sogar Farbdoppler und die konnten mit ihrem Schallkopf nichtmal normalen Doppler. Wir hatten sie im Markt abgehaengt. Es gibt noch viel anderes der Kategorie "Geht nicht!", was heute in voller Serienproduktion ist, in Flugzeugen mitfliegt, in Kardiologieabteilungen steht oder auf Oelfeldern weilt. Nur darf ich darueber keine Einzelheiten loslassen. Das obige ist u.a. bei IEEE veroeffentlicht, also durfte ich.
