But that does not help me understand.  You've replaced choice by "all
else is equal" in one place and "is not unsuitable" in another.  The
only reason I wanted to understand is that you asked:

Anyway, it's probably not very important.  You use C a lot and I think I
would probably used it in fewer situations than you would.  But if
that's because of how I evaluate all else being equal it many well be,
by your criteria, my language of choice.
