That implementation of COMPILE, has at least the same bug that VFX
has, and if XT-COMPILE, does something different from XT-EXECUTE, even
more.  A correct definition would be:

: compile, name>interpret xt-compile, ;

But of course we also want to perform

( nt ) name>compile execute
( nt ) name>compile swap postpone literal compile,

The former is used in, e.g., the text interpreter in compile state,
the latter in POSTPONE.

Stephen Pelc has proposed giving names to the four combinations, but I
think that the present factoring is better.
