There are two meanings of immediacy:

1) The meaning from 2.1:

|A Forth word whose compilation semantics are to perform its execution
|semantics.

2) The meaning that the traditional user-defined text interpreter
(from, e.g., A.6.2.0945) assumes when FIND returns 1 (immediate): That
the result of FIND should be COMPILE,d if the flag says "not immediate",
and EXECUTEd if it says "immediate".

If we want meaning 1, we have to check that they are the same, and
compare xt1 with the xt returned by NAME>INTERPRET as a way to
approximate this check (in theory, there could be two different xts
that implement the same semantics).

If we want meaning 2, then there is no need to check that.

For most practical uses of such a word, meaning 2 is probably what is
wanted (e.g., when implementing FIND).

No.  I think it leads to the best factoring if you also implement
FIND, but you are free to implement it differently.  So the
NAME>IMMEDIATE above may not work as intended on all systems.

Anyway, NAME>INTERPRET and NAME>COMPILE provide access to all of the
interpretation and compilation semantics; there is no need for
NAME>IMMEDIATE; and if we still want it, we can derive it from the
date produced by these words, in a system-specific way.
