You say the shell is not the least of such things.
Can you show some of the other things? Would love to see how desktop Linux
serves you better than the competition!

Works great for me. I have asked others if you can do this on Linux and they
seem to have no answer... just say programming mice is "idiotic" and leads
to forcing people to single-task in some way they cannot describe. Weird.
For me it allows me to use MORE programs the way I want... choice is good.

That is the most idotic way to program a mouse. But I guess the
typical single-taskers (windows and OSX users) who run only one
program can get away with such idiotic ideas. Linux users who tend
to have several applications on the desktop would not appreciate
if the programming of the different buttons constantly changes
