European Moon Village plan http://news.yahoo.com/european-space-boss-crazy-moon-village-plan-151401886.html Cool, huh? But first they need to ask nasa, since they planted their flag overthere first ------ Who would take part? "Russia has some lunar missions planned, so why not have them as part of the Moon Village?" asked Woerner, noting also that "the Chinese are planning some lunar missions." He also said he did not mind that some think his idea hare-brained. "The word 'crazy' is exactly something I would like," he said. "We have to think out of the box. That means new ideas." -------

Usually you had to buy that land from the owner. >> Who would take part? Well, EU-countries had a problem recently with lots of refugees. Maybe they could take part... > They would have their socialist government slaves... We don't have socialist countries anymore in Europe, except Belarus (as far as I can tell). Another common misconception is, that socialism is based on slavery. Actually meant was a form of state, where the 'common men' are not exploited. TH

They were not looking for them and they did not have the right equipment in the first place. There have been three Chinese missions to the Moon so far: Chang'e 1’s CCD stereo camera’s pixel spatial resolution was 200 m, and the orbiter took the images from a circular orbit of 200 km altitude. [1] Chang'e 2’s camera obtained images at a resolution of ca. 7 m from 15 to 100 km altitude [2] – still too coarse to tell a flag from a rock. Chang'e 3 was a lander and rover mission only. It was planned to land at Sinus Iridum (“Bay of Rainbows”), but landed on Mare Imbrium (“See of Storms”). The flags were planted during the Apollo 11 mission near Tranquility Base, on Mare Tranquillitatis (“Sea of Tranquility”) instead. For landing, Chang'e 3 did not orbit over Mare Tranquillitatis [3]. Chang'e 3’s landing site is, based on the Google Moon map, about 16 km (or more) away from Tranquility Base. The rover, Yutu (“jade rabbit”), had a maximum range of 10 km. “Yutu traveled 374 feet (114 meters) on the moon in a zigzag fashion before a glitch ended its travels in January 2014.” [4] IOW, that mission did not come anywhere near Tranquility Base which would have enabled it to support your claim. The proper term for those people is “lunatics” ;-) And they are still unable to explain how we can get reflections off mirrors known to be planted on the Moon during the Apollo 11, 14, and 15 missions if no human had ever put a foot on the surface of the Moon so far. <https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lunar_Laser_Ranging_experiment> > Also: ownership of land is not created by planting a flag pole there. > Usually you had to buy that land from the owner. Easy to find - or ask for the way.) >> >> Well, EU-countries had a problem recently with lots of refugees. > > They still have. Well, depends on how you define 'problem'. Refugees are kind of annoyed, since Germany is actually cold in winter and life in a refugee camp is boring. But that's about it. Germans (on the other hand) fear to get killed, while asleep by 'Jihadists'. Other fears are related to lack of jobs and affordable apartments, since refugees seemingly want to have, what many Germans are also locking for. >> Maybe they could take part... > > Yeah, first throw their countries into chaos, then ship them off to the > Moon… It seems your stupidity knows no end. > I have not thrown any country into chaos. But apparently you are addressing Germany with 'throwing .. into chaos'. But let me inform you, it haven't been Germans, who invaded Iraq/Syria/Libya (just to mention a few). Second: 'taking part' was meant as an opportunity (for a career as astronaut), not as 'shipping off'. (at least partially...) TH
