The Chinese had been unable to find these flags.

There are also sceptics of various kind and degree, which claim, that 
moon-landings had been faked.

Also: ownership of land is not created by planting a flag pole there. 
Usually you had to buy that land from the owner.

Well, EU-countries had a problem recently with lots of refugees. Maybe 
they could take part...

We don't have socialist countries anymore in Europe, except Belarus (as 
far as I can tell).

Another common misconception is, that socialism is based on slavery.

Actually meant was a form of state, where the 'common men' are not 
exploited.
