I think, there are several independent substreams acting in the society. And some people want the masses more exploitable, while others don't. So we have opposing forces, that push and pull (according to their agenda) on the society. At the end things are not as one side wants, nor in favour of the other. Most likely the results are somewhere in the middle. This not bad at all, since this is usually the most acceptable result for the majority. TH
