Ganz selten, wenn Du als Rat ein Reiterstandbild mit dem Abbild des Verwaltungschefs stoppen könntest, scheinen sie einmal kompromißbereit - aber meist ziehen sie mit geschickten Tricks eine Fraktion aus der Mehrheit heraus und machen doch, was sie wollen. Ich will nicht einmal behaupten, daß das immer nur schlecht sein muß. Ratsmitglieder sind selbstdarstellerische Amateure und zu einem erschreckenden Anteil einfach doof, die Verwaltung sind, bei all ihren Fehlern, gelernte Fachleute mit Erfahrung. Könnte der Rat wirklich machen, was erwill, es dürfte alles am Ende noch viel schlimmer sein. So, und jetzt kannst Du mich wirklich und mit Grund einen mürrischen alten Sack nennen, nur: Früher war es auch nicht besser.
