Many of us have. Back in the late 90s and early 2000s, most of the computers in my home were hand-built PCs running various flavors of Linux and Unix. Today, I have no PCs in my house. All of my machines are Macs. And while I make my living working with Linux and Unix servers, I don't bother running Linux at home, because OS X does all I need. And I repair all of my Macs that are out of warranty myself rather than bringing them some place. For instance, I recently replaced the cooling fan on my ATI Radeon HD 4870 in my Mac Pro tower because the bearings were failing. Total cost: $6.99 for the replacement fan, and 20 minutes of work. : ) -- E-mail sent to this address may be devoured by my ravenous SPAM filter. I often ignore posts from Google.
