The thing that worries me about DropCam is the fact that Google now owns
them, and Google's number one interest is gathering personal data abut
its customers. We see it happening with Nest already. 

I haven't looked at DropCam's products in depth, but if connecting them
to the WAN is a requirement for full network camera functionality that
you get with other network cameras, that would certainly be a deal
breaker for me.
