Photo is closer to GIMP than Photoshop? I've used all three, and have
used Photoshop a lot and wouldn't draw that conclusion at all
considering that while it does do somethings differently, a whole lot of
the UI mimics the Photoshop UI.

The only reason I mention it is because it has allowed me to stop
sending bundles of money to Adobe, which is a big relief. I am very
happy that competitors are offering cheaper yet worthy alternatives. I
like having that money to spend on other things, and figure I'm probably
not alone in that respect. If you prefer to continue sending Adobe all
that money, that's cool by me. : )

I have Pixelmator too. It's a good image editor. Affinity Photo seems to
have more functionality that more closely resembles Photoshop.
