After a derecho a couple of years ago the power was out for 6 days in my
area. The gas stove, hand grinder, and AeroPress kept me in coffee. I did
have to use bottled water since the well pump is electric. The irrigation
ditch wasn't an option since the root balls of blown over pine had damaged
it and the head gate was closed.

It was summer so heat wasn't a problem although I do use the stove for
heat sometimes in the winter. The stove top burners have a gas pilot light
although the over needs a match. Old tech is good.
