Lots of fjords... Ah, heaven! When I lived in New Hampshire the ocean proper was about 13 miles away. The Great Bay is a tidal estuary and was a bit closer. It was a fascinating place. I used to catch and release horseshoe crabs just to study one of the more successful designs. The White Mountains were about 60 miles north. Mt. Washington is only 6,288' but I think it's the 2nd highest east of the Mississippi. Now I have plenty of mountains but no ocean. However there is that seismic activity over on the west. One can hope.
