I asserted that if you click on an address, your iPad opens Apple
Maps, not Google Maps.
Your response was "not necessarily," so I asked for an example.
You've come up with no examples.
Though you've written post after post about Google APIs (which I
didn't ask about), about how it isn't Apple's fault things work this
way (which I don't care about) and various other distractions from the
fact that you were simply wrong to say "not necessarily." As of the
present, it _is_ "necessarily."
Neither of the apps mentioned provides an example of this either,
though both use Google's map data.

Incorrect unless there are apps that actually open Google Maps when you click on an address. No evidence of such an app yet.

I ask you for an example of such an app and you start spouting about how there are thousands of apps, and google has many apis. Anything not to admit that you don't know of a single example and in fact there could be no examples. For post after post.

This is where you come up against your inability to admit that you were wrong. There are not ways to do this for a user. A user must cut and paste as I said. The fact that there is an SDK means that a developer might someday write an application that allows this. But the situation of today is that a user must cut and paste.

But the situation of today is > that a user must cut and paste. bullshit. others have already mentioned *two* apps that support google's url scheme, so not only are you stubbornly refusing to admit *you* were wrong, but you are also lying. furthermore, one of those apps supports *other* maps in addition to google's maps. it's not the first time you've ignored facts and sadly, it will not be the last.

You can certainly open Google Maps in your browser and either type in or paste in an address. I like Google's Maps App better, so I would instead open that App and type in the address or paste it in, if I wanted Google Maps. If I am happy using Apple Maps, I can often click the address in my browser.

Not the same as clicking an address, but it is not "using Google's map data" it is allowing you to send the location to either Apple Maps or Google Maps for direction routing. -- Maybe I should have seen it as some kind of sign, except I don't believe in them no more; no no, but I believe these things I can't forget, tho I don't see you anymore.

It is easy to open Google Maps by all sorts of strategies, including that bizarre one. That doesn't allow the use to click on an address in Safari and have it open in Google Maps as you claimed users could.
