that is 100% correct. 

you asked for more details so i provided a link to the url scheme,
which proves without any doubt that what i said was 100% correct. 

like i said, you don't like actual facts.

i never said there were thousands of apps.

you made that up.

i linked to google's url scheme, which proves beyond any doubt that the
functionality exists, no matter how much you refuse to believe it.

i mentioned google's other apis to point out that app developers can
use a wide variety of apis in their apps. whether a particular app uses
any of them is up to the app developer.

how many apps currently implement it is completely irrelevant. 

what matters is that there are ways to link to map apps *other* than
apple's map app. again, this is a *fact*, despite what you may believe.

it's also mind-numbingly simple to do too.
