  No, it can't. As I said, I have *several* (multiple) SIMs/
network-providers. The phone can't possibly know *which one* of these
network-providers it 'should' [1] contact, especially not since
all-but-one SIM are not in the phone.

[1] 'should' in scare quotes, because it shouldn't contact any one of
them, only the server of the phone-manufacturer (Huawei).
