I'm not talking libraries. StarOffice failed commercially, was then open sourced, and the group that took it over named the result Open Office. I used StarOffice and could open documents with OO. I just tried, opening an .sxw dated May 2004 with current lowriter and worked just fine. Then I found another made Sept 2000, opened just fine. The ancestor of that document was in word, so I converted it from word to staroffice about then. I then located an excel file converted to SO (.sdc) in may 2001, also opens fine. -- Cheers, Carlos.
