Until he has one, it does not matter.  The camera is
old.  I do not even know if it has an sd card.

I created a work around for him that is really
simple.  He is happy.

The purpose of the question was the next time this
happens, I need a Gallery Program that actually
will import from an MTP device.

I use AnyDesk and Help Wire.   Help Wire is
in test phase and a lot of stuff is not
implements, but what is, I really like.
AnyDesk is good too, but has spotty Linux
support.

TeamViewer is really, really expensive, but
does work well too.
