This picture is 'stacked in time', because further away is also longer ago. Now the 'real universe' might eventually be timeless, but our visions of it are not. It is actually a little tricky to remove the influence of time in the pictures we receive from the past and it is in most cases also impossible. But we could assume a universe out there, that we cannot see, but which could eventually have such properties as a universal time. TH
