Nope, no problem at all because the phone doesn’t
signal that its got a new SMS before the device that you
are actually using tells you about the newly arrived SMS.

Irrelevant to whether its best to tell you about the newly
arrived SMS on the device you are actually using.

You get notified about the new SMS on the device you are using.

Or you actually have a clue and realise that incoming SMSs
do get reported on the device you are actually using so it
will be the one you just got notified about on the device
you are actually using.
