Thanks for your reply. I have been using Linux and Mac for over a decade
now. The Pc in question is a Dell Inspiron that is now a few years old.
Of course it came with Windows 7.

I have two drives installed. The primary if you will has Debian. The
second drive is for distro hopping. Away from Mac, Debian has always been
my main distro.

The hard drive with Windows was part of the Dell long enough to get
registered and get it updated. Then it was replaced with a fresh drive,
and Debian was installed. I then added a second drive for distro hopping.

I want to upgrade Windows 7 to Windows 10. Sooner or later this PC will
be passed on. In Windows land, Windows insists it must be the C drive and
have EUFI enabled. Neither here nor there,

So wanting to upgrade to win 10, I thought it should be a simple matter
to copy Debian on the second drive, and put in a EUFI enabled boot on the
second drive, tell bios to boot from the second drive.

Then Windows can have the C drive, get updated, taken out and placed in
the closet (again).

My dilemma is, I have ignored the EUFI concern on this pc by bios
disabling. Now, I'm not sure how to get a EUFI boot loader installed on
what will be the second (bootable) drive.
